Overview

Monipix is an AI image upscaler and creative workspace that runs entirely in the browser. Upload a JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC file up to 50MB, pick a target resolution — 2K, 4K, 8K or 16K — and the AI restores lost detail, sharpens edges and clears blur in roughly 30 seconds. Nothing to install. Batch mode processes up to 10 images in a single run, Clarity Enhancement pushes detail further on soft or hazy shots, and Creative Upscale reconstructs plausible detail when the original is too degraded to recover faithfully.

Upscaling is only the entry point. The same account also covers AI image generation (text-to-image and image-to-image) and AI video generation (text-to-video and image-to-video), running on 12 current models including Nano Banana 2, Nano Banana 2 Lite, Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2, Seedream 4.5, Seedream 5 Pro, Grok Imagine, Kling 3, Hailuo H3, Veo 3.1, Seedance 2 and Seedance 2 Fast. One credit balance covers all of it, so you can generate an image and immediately upscale it to print resolution without leaving the tab.

Common uses: cleaning up e-commerce product photos, restoring old family scans, preparing artwork for large-format print, pushing AI-generated images past their native resolution, and producing crisp assets for social media and websites. Portrait work keeps facial features sharp while preserving natural skin tones; landscape work pulls detail back out of hazy or soft scenic shots.

Every account gets 10 free credits per month, no credit card required. Paid plans start at $19.90/month, or $16.58/month billed annually, and unlock 8K and 16K output, batch processing, priority queues and API access; annual plans add an unlimited-upscaling window. Monipix also ships as a Canva app, so the same upscaler works directly on Canva designs, and the interface is available in English, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese.

What is Monipix?

Monipix is a browser-based AI image upscaler and creative workspace. Its core job is enlarging and cleaning up images: you upload a photo, pick a target resolution of 2K, 4K, 8K or 16K, and the AI restores lost detail, sharpens edges and clears blur — nothing to install. The same account also covers AI image and video generation, so one workspace handles both enlarging images you already have and creating new ones.
How do I upscale an image with Monipix?
Yu Ark

wrote:
Drag an image onto the upload box on the homepage, or click to browse and pick a file. Choose the resolution you want — 2K, 4K, 8K or 16K — and press Enhance. Monipix processes the image and gives you a result you can compare against the original before downloading. There are no sliders to learn and no settings you have to get right first.
What image formats can I upload, and how large can files be?
Yu Ark
🛠️ 2

wrote:
Monipix accepts JPG, PNG, WEBP and HEIC files up to 50MB each, and you can add up to 10 images to a single batch. RAW and TIFF are not supported, so convert those to one of the four formats above before uploading.
What resolutions can Monipix upscale to?
Yu Ark
🛠️ 2

Four targets: 2K, 4K, 8K and 16K. 2K and 4K are available on the free tier; 8K and 16K require a paid plan. 16K is aimed at large-format printing, gallery display, and cases where you need to crop deep into an image and still keep detail.
How long does an upscale take?
Yu Ark
🛠️ 2
tools
wrote:
Most upscales finish in around 30 seconds. Larger source files and higher targets like 8K or 16K take longer. Paid plans run in a priority queue, so they finish sooner when the service is busy.
Is Monipix free?
Yu Ark
🛠️ 2
tools
wrote:
Yes, there is a permanent free tier. Every account gets 10 credits per month at no cost, and no credit card is required to sign up. The free tier covers 2K and 4K upscaling; 8K, 16K and batch processing require a paid plan.
How do credits work?
Yu Ark
🛠️ 2
tools
wrote:
Each upscale or generation costs a fixed number of credits, and the cost is shown on the button before you run it. Subscription credits refresh every billing period. One-time credit packs never expire and can be used alongside a subscription. Jobs that fail are refunded to your balance automatically.
What do the paid plans cost?
Yu Ark

Starter is $19.90/month for 600 credits, Professional is $39.90/month for 1,800 credits, and Premium is $69.90/month for 3,600 credits. Paying annually costs $199, $399 and $699 — two months free, with the full year of credits granted upfront. Annual plans also include an unlimited-upscaling window after purchase: one month on Starter, three months on Professional, six months on Premium.
Can I upscale several images at once?
Yu Ark
🛠️ 2
tools
wrote:
Yes. Batch mode takes up to 10 images in a single run and processes them together, which is the fastest way to handle a product catalogue or a folder of scans. Batch processing is a paid-plan feature.
What is Clarity Enhancement and when should I use it?
Yu Ark
🛠️ 2
tools
wrote:
Clarity Enhancement is an optional extra pass that pushes detail recovery further than a standard upscale. It is built for soft, hazy or slightly out-of-focus shots — atmospheric haze in landscapes, mild camera blur, faded scans. It costs extra credits on top of the upscale, so reach for it when a plain upscale leaves the image looking flat rather than turning it on by default.
What is Creative Upscale, and how is it different from a normal upscale?
Yu Ark
🛠️ 2
tools
wrote:
A normal upscale reconstructs detail that is genuinely implied by the pixels you uploaded. Creative Upscale goes further and invents plausible detail where the original is too degraded to recover faithfully. That makes it useful for very small or heavily compressed sources, but the result is an interpretation rather than a faithful reconstruction — avoid it for documents, evidence photos, or anything where accuracy matters more than how it looks.
Can Monipix restore old or damaged photos?
Yu Ark
🛠️ 2
tools
wrote:
Yes, restoring old photos is one of the most common uses. Upload a scan of a print or negative and Monipix removes scan noise, sharpens faded edges and pulls back detail that flat scanning loses. For badly degraded originals, Clarity Enhancement or Creative Upscale will recover more than a plain upscale.
