CodeRabbit Agent for Slack: One agent for your entire Software Development Lifecycle. Right in Slack.
CodeRabbit Agent is an AI-powered software development assistant that lives inside Slack and helps engineering teams manage the entire software development lifecycle in one place. It can investigate issues, plan features, generate code, open pull requests, automate workflows, and pull context from tools like GitHub, Jira, Notion, Datadog, and AWS - all directly within Slack conversations. The platform is designed around “Agentic SDLC,” where AI agents actively participate across planning, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance while preserving organizational knowledge and working within governance controls defined by the team.
Introducing CodeRabbit Issue Planner! ✨
AI agents made coding fast but planning messy.
Turn planning into a shared artifact in your issue tracker, grounded in related issues and decisions. Review prompts as a team, then hand them off to an agent!
Claude or Cursor can generate a plan in seconds, but they won’t know about the related issue from last sprint, the architectural decision buried in comments, or the refactor already in flight. So they confidently plan the wrong thing. Plans like these either lead to an iterative prompting time suck, or are subtly wrong in ways you only discover during implementation or review, after assumptions harden and rewrites erase all your AI speed gains.
CodeRabbit Issue Planner turns planning into a shared artifact in your issue tracker.
Plans are grounded in related issues, past decisions, and context.
Teams align with prompt reviews before code exists.
Plans are then handed off to any agent.
By aligning on intent up front, teams reduce AI slop and rework, save time, and make AI usable for everyone… not just a few “prompt whisperers” on the team.
So, you ACTUALLY move faster with AI.
Introducing CodeRabbit Plugin for Claude Code!
The CodeRabbit plugin for Claude Code creates an autonomous AI development workflow, helping you write and fix code without manual intervention.
Type /coderabbit:review (or just say “review my code”) to get AI-powered fixes directly in your dev flow!
Try it today, it’s free!
AI code reviews are now available in your terminal. CodeRabbit CLI delivers the same intelligent analysis that catches production bugs in our VS Code extension, optimized for command-line workflows and AI agent integration.
Get code reviews on uncommitted changes without leaving your terminal. The CLI catches race conditions, memory leaks, and security vulnerabilities that traditional linters miss. Free to use with rate limits.
CodeRabbit’s unit test generation is now available in Beta! Automatically generate comprehensive unit tests for your code changes, ensuring better test coverage and catching edge cases you might miss. Our AI analyzes your code structure and creates tests that follow best practices and your project’s testing patterns.
CodeRabbit: Free AI code reviews in IDE

Start receiving intelligent suggestions
We're excited to announce the launch of the Docstrings feature! This functionality allows developers to generate docstrings on a pull request. By commenting @coderabbitai generate docstrings on any pull request, you can automatically generate docstrings for functions in the code changes.
Once sent, CodeRabbit will perform the following actions:
All functions that are in the pull request's changes will be fetched using ast-grep
Docstrings will be generated for the functions where they are missing or incomplete
These docstrings will be committed in a new branch in the same repository
CodeRabbit will open a pull request from this new branch to the existing pull request
Smarter Review Comments with Real-Time Web Queries
CodeRabbit can now search the web to provide enhanced context directly in code review comments. This helps avoid issues limited by the cut-off date of when AI models were last updated.
Real-time Web Queries help deliver more accurate and up-to-date suggestions by incorporating:
Updates from across the web such as the latest version updates
Relevant documentation
Best practices for known API issues, etc.
Bitbucket Cloud Support & CircleCI Pipeline Failure Detection
We're excited to announce two major updates:
Bitbucket Cloud Integration
CodeRabbit is now available for Bitbucket Cloud users! This integration includes:
Automated code reviews for pull requests
Inline review comments and suggestions
Real-time bot interaction for feedback and assistance
Check out our Bitbucket Cloud integration guide to get started.
CircleCI Pipeline Failure Detection and Remediation
We've expanded our pipeline error detection to CircleCI! Just like with GitHub Actions and GitLab CI/CD, you can now automatically detect and fix pipeline failures from your CircleCI workflows.
CodeRabbit Learnings: Experience refined code reviews with automatically fine-tuned insights based on user feedback and customizable instructions.
Smart Chat: Get advice, generate code, or create issues directly within review comments through real-time chat. The more you interact, the smarter it becomes.
Linter Support: Leverage popular linters such as Biome, Ruff, PHPStan, and ESLint. We reduce unnecessary noise and highlight critical issues that need your attention.
Reports: Access autogenerated release notes, daily standup summaries, and sprint reviews. Configure integration with review tools and task trackers like Jira and Linear to suit your needs.
Self-Hosted Support: CodeRabbit brings the same robust, AI-powered code reviews to self-hosted environments, providing greater control and customization. This is ideal for organizations with specific compliance requirements or those wishing to utilize existing systems.
Platform Availability: Now available for GitLab, Azure DevOps, and Bitbucket, offering seamless integration across your preferred development environments.
SOC2 Type II Certified: CodeRabbit is now certified for SOC2 Type II compliance.

Overall enjoyable experience thank you taaft for everything and keep up the good work
How noisy is it on big PRs? Nothing kills a review bot faster than 40 nitpick comments on one diff.
Reducing manual efforts in first-pass during code-review process helps speed up the "final check" before merging
This is a surprisingly capable assistant for code reviews and security checks. Provides contextual feedback on pull requests and catches potential vulnerabilities before they hit production. Strong for maintaining code quality across teams.

I find CodeRabbit really helpful! The AI provides fast and relevant code reviews, making it a great tool for developers who want to boost productivity and maintain high-quality projects.
Its great, but sometimes it makes my code worse! LOL have to take it with a grain of salt, but I'm not a dev by trade so its hard to know if its on point or not. I have to get a human in the loop to be sure.
Am the manager of this app i can help you improve
Wasn't expecting it to be this insightful. It broke down my ad's performance by elements like text and visuals helped me figure out what was actually working.
Tool looks fantastic, congrats!
As a solo developer, I can't emphasize enough how much CodeRabbit has improved my development workflow. It's been an absolute lifesaver in catching issues that might have otherwise slipped through the cracks without a team of reviewers. The automated PR reviews have helped maintain code quality and caught potential problems before they made it to production.

It's definitely worth giving it a shot, especially if you're working solo or in a small team where code review resources are limited.
Very nice 👍
