Overview

Recall is an AI knowledge base and second brain, available as a web app, mobile app, and browser extension that saves, organizes, and lets you chat with everything you read and watch.

Save an article, PDF, YouTube video, or podcast and Recall turns it into searchable notes and key takeaways in seconds. It works as a YouTube video summarizer and podcast summarizer, built into the same place you keep everything else. Ask questions and get answers from your own knowledge, the open web, or both, using the AI model of your choice, including ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.

Unlike an ordinary bookmark manager, Recall brings saved content back to life. Related ideas are automatically connected and visualized in a knowledge graph, and they resurface as you browse, helping you spot relationships you would otherwise miss. And because understanding something isn't the same as remembering it, Recall builds long-term retention with active recall and spaced-repetition quizzes, scheduled for how memory actually works.

Used by 700,000+ people, including teams at Bloomberg and researchers at Stanford and NYU.

Recall v2 Jan 12, 2026 Current

Recall v1.1 Dec 10, 2025

Recall is now one place for all your knowledge, including your personal notes.

We started Recall with a focus on the content you consume: summarizing, saving, and organizing organizing YouTube videos, podcasts, TikToks, articles and PDFs.

Now we're expanding to the content you create. While you've always been able to take notes in Recall's notebook tab, the editor was basic.

We just launched a new block-style editor to create notes directly in Recall. Meeting notes with dynamic tables. Study notes with equations and code blocks. Daily journals with to-do lists.

Everything in one place with AI that understands it all.

Recall v1.0.212 Aug 12, 2025

Go beyond your brain’s limits. Chat with all the content you read, watch, listen to, or take notes on. Add any online content on the go or import thousands of videos, podcasts, and more - all saved to your self-organizing knowledge base. Your memory, searchable forever.

Why this is a big deal for Recall and a step forward for knowledge management:

Save time: No more digging through scattered notes. Get instant answers with sources referenced. This is what knowledge management has always needed. When you’ve spent hours saving, curating, and categorizing content, being able to access it when you need to is critical.

Think deeper: Our memory is capped, and that’s not a flaw, it’s by design. This lets us go beyond what we can store in our heads. Spot connections you’d otherwise miss. Synthesize information we could never manage alone. This is why we have AI in the first place.

Peace of mind: You know that feeling when you hear a great stat, quote, or tip you never want to forget… so you leave a tab open or drop it into Apple Notes—only to lose it three months later. Now, you can simply save it to Recall. Your memory, backed up and searchable forever.

Thank you so much for being part of this journey. While we still have a long way to go, with hundreds of requests still on our roadmap, today marks a huge step forward for Recall.

W TOOL! Finally dumped all my scattered recipes in one spot and it organized them by ingredient, cuisine, prep time, ALL of it. No more 47 chrome tabs of pasta recipes. LOVE IT!!

Denis Khan Feb 3, 2026 v@v2

Finally organizing all the space articles and launch coverage I save. It actually connects stuff I didn't know was related. My scattered space knowledge is actually becoming useful.

Elizabeth Crefin Jan 29, 2026 v@v2

Started using it a couple of days ago, largely to have a place for things I learn in You Tube videos right now. I love the summary features and the ability to edit notes. I can also see it will be very helpful once I have more content in there to ask questions. Really fantastic tool! I look forward to seeing what new features it gets in the future, but even now it's exactly what I've been looking for.

Murad Ahmed Nov 13, 2025 [email protected]

Helps me keep track of thoughts and patterns I'd normally forget. it's not perfect but it's useful for looking back and seeing how far I've come. makes journaling feel less scattered.

Lauren Allison Oct 28, 2025 [email protected]

Helps keep your research actually organized instead of buried in tabs. Love how fast it pulls up past notes or insights when you’re comparing trends. It’s like a clean memory for market thinking.

Chat with a knowledge base is an absolute game-changer for the knowledge management space. Using it for my longevity protocols and sleep optimization.

Mario Martorelli Jan 2, 2025 [email protected]

I believe summarising videos is quite the best thing AI can do for us: nowadays big amount of knowledge travels through videos, and Recall is the best of the best in dealing with videos. Moreover, it has recently become quite a knowledge base with full content web clipper plus many other features, not only AI-based. Just try it and u'll never leave it !
