Overview
It scans files, folders, and staged git changes for sensitive data such as API keys, tokens, private keys, environment files, logs, and other risky project context. Everything runs locally on your machine — no file contents are uploaded.
Offsend helps you audit exposed context before using tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or other AI workflows. The `offsend show` command shows files and folders that may be visible to AI tools, while `offsend prepare` generates AI ignore files such as `.cursorignore`, `.claudeignore`, and `.aiexclude`.
It also works in git hooks and CI. With `offsend hook install`, you can add a pre-commit check that scans staged changes before they are committed.
Offsend CLI is easy to install on macOS and can be used from the terminal, git hooks, or automated workflows.
