Overview
Odies is a macOS app that puts a team of expressive, animated AI companions on top of your screen to make work hours feel lighter and healthier. You choose from a growing cast of characters, each with its own personality, and your Odie follows your routine — staying focused during working hours, chilling after hours, and going "Out of Office" on weekends based on the working hours, moods, and energy levels you set.
It layers in wellbeing nudges (hydration reminders, movement breaks with walk-along animations, and encouraging affirmations), plus custom daily/weekly/monthly reminders for meetings, meds, standups, payments, birthdays, and self-care.
You can chat with your Odie like a friendly coworker for suggestions, feedback, or venting, and the characters visually change moods through the day. Its headline feature is on-screen contextual help: double-tap your Odie and it analyzes whatever's on your screen — code, slides, spreadsheets, design files, settings, errors — and answers questions about it in real time on top of any app.
It's pitched at remote workers, students, creators, and founders who want ambient company and a bit of joy while they work. Free with in-app purchases (subscriptions from $3.99/mo or $9.99/yr, plus credit packs from $4.99 to $59.99).
