Overview

Grok Bot is SpaceXAI's (formerly xAI) always-on agent product, in beta since August 11, 2026. Instead of prompting a chatbot task by task, you spin up persistent Bots and delegate work the way you would to a colleague.

Each Bot gets its own cloud computer — real browser, files, and terminal — and signs into your existing apps once, then operates them the way you would, including tools that are awkward to navigate.

Bots run in parallel and keep working 24/7 with your laptop closed, surfacing only when they need approval or have finished. Show one a workflow once and it saves it as a routine to run on schedule; drop several into a shared thread and they pass work between themselves, pulling you in only for judgment calls.

It ships with ready-made roles like Sales Outbound, Talent Scout, Paid Media, Expense Manager, Account Health, and Chief of Staff. Available on macOS, Windows, Linux, and iOS (Android coming), and bundled into SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra ($200/mo), and Cursor Teams Premium ($120/seat/mo) rather than sold standalone.
