The thing most podcast setups leave on the table is the transcript - an episode is a wall of speech nothing can index, and the text version is what ends up quoted later. Does hosting include a transcript on a page you own rather than only inside the player? That one detail decides whether an episode keeps working a year from now.
The tool itself was great, but the voice feature left much to be desired, which is key for a podcast tool. The free version only offered a single voice, and it sounded very robotic, making me hesitant to upgrade. It would be ideal to have more natural-sounding voice options. For a more lifelike text-to-speech experience, I’d recommend trying Hedra.
3 stars. Everything BUT the voice was great. And the voice is kinda important for a podcast tool. the free version, for me, only gave me one voice option and the finished product sounded so robotic it really didn't make me want to upgrade. More realistic options would be great. Hedra is a great tool for text-to-speech with realistic speaking patterns.
Don't understand it, free account but can't create a blog/Podcast without paying $30. It would be nice to see what I'm paying for without upgrading.
