How to use Mercer?
Create a Mercer account, then start a new design using the AI design tool. You can begin from inspiration photos, hand sketches, CADs, tech packs, or use AI to generate designs. Collaborate on the platform, assign tasks, add notes, and manage your collection assets. Share designs with team members and production partners.
What is Mercer?
Mercer is a platform that helps creators concept, design, and produce fashion products and collections.
How do I create my first design?
As soon as you create your Mercer account you will be prompted to create a new design using our AI design tool from the home page, just click on “New Design” then “Create AI Image” and follow the instructions.
What image generation model do you use?
We currently use a mixture of Flux and Stable Diffusion, depending on the feature you are using. Mercer is intentionally built to be model-agnostic, so that we can always offer you the latest and greatest models in-platform.
Do you provide production & manufacturing services for what I design in Mercer?
On Enterprise subscriptions, yes. For Designer, Studio and Studio Pro subscriptions we do not produce or manufacture anything designed on the platform.
Why would I use Mercer if you don’t make the product?
Our software is built as a standalone design & collaboration tool for individuals or teams that have an existing production and manufacturing network. Our software streamlines communication between parties with features like comments, notes, measurements, tasks, and timelines. You’re able to share your designs with your own manufacturers directly from Mercer, without the need for external file transfer services.
Do you have product templates I can use for my collection?
Not yet but we are working on it!
Who owns the designs that I create using Mercer?
You do! We will never use, sell or license anything you create using our software without your consent.
Will other people be able to use my trained models?
You are able to share your trained models with other Mercer users, but are completely private otherwise.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No, we do not use your data to train our foundational models or other customers’ models.
