Overview

AgentHost is a CLI that deploys your local AI agent setup — Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Hermes, Ollama — to an always-on box in your own cloud account. One command: `npx agenthost-cli`.

Your skills, CLAUDE.md, MCP servers, and repos come with it; your credentials are redacted before anything leaves your laptop, and secrets go straight into your own cloud provider's encrypted store. There is no AgentHost backend to trust.

The box stays up when your laptop sleeps. You monitor and steer from your phone: a control room with every engine's status, a shared task board, per-engine cost tracking, and a governance gate that human-approves anything irreversible — deploys, spending, sending, deleting. Agents propose; an independent engine reviews; you gate consequences, not code.
No lock-in: your cloud account, your keys, your data, and `agenthost destroy` removes everything. Engine-neutral — switch models without losing your agents' accumulated memory, because the memory lives on infrastructure you own.

This is a cool one - I’m digging the PWA and push notifications. I didn’t sign up yet. Waiting for a review from someone who joins the founder program before I sign up. The CLI and the harness packager are slick and having my team of agents collaborating with me as overwatcher and captain rather than micromanager is great. Subscribed for more updates.

I tried the CLI from your GitHub repo. It’s pretty dope. I think I’ve got a new way to manage my team and I like it.

FAQ 12

What is AgentHost?
AgentHost is a tool designed for developers managing multiple AI agents. It functions as a persistent control room where users can handle and manage all their agents. It offers shared memory, coordinated work, governed handoffs, and maintains a reliable and durable record in an infrastructure directly controlled by the developers.
How does AgentHost help in managing multiple AI agents?
AgentHost assists in managing multiple AI agents by providing a shared memory system and facilitating coordinated work across them. It governs handoffs between different agents while maintaining a durable and reliable record in an infrastructure that developers directly control. Its Control Room allows the persistence of the AI agents' memory, tools, and work state across sessions.
What are the four agent interfaces in AgentHost?
The four agent interfaces in AgentHost are Claude Code, Codex, Hermes Agent, and Gemini CLI.
What is the role of the OpenClaw messaging gateway in AgentHost?
OpenClaw, in AgentHost, functions as a messaging gateway. It supports chat workflows along with a robust agent-based system for autonomous work. It forms part of the robust command and control infrastructure for AI agents in AgentHost.
What are 'safety rails' in the context of AgentHost?
'Safety rails' in the context of AgentHost refers to security layers added to AI operations. They provide extra safety measures to prevent mishaps and ensure secure operations.
How does the Control Room in AgentHost maintain persistence across sessions?
The Control Room in AgentHost maintains persistence across sessions by continually storing the AI agents' memory, tools, and work state. This consistent state allows the operations to last beyond short-term sessions and offers continuity for various functions over the long term.
What kind of audit trails does AgentHost provide?
AgentHost maintains detailed audit logs of all actions. These logs provide traceability for all operations, thereby ensuring transparency and control over AI operations.
What does cross-engine review in AgentHost entail?
