FAQ 12

What is Trump Donald?

How to use Trump Donald?

Users write a message to Trump (with optional AI assistance), donate $20.24 or more, and the website prints and mails the message to Mar-a-Lago. Donations go to selected organizations working to defeat Trump.

How does it work?

You write a message to Trump (Our AI can help!), make a one-time donation of $20.24 (or more), and the website mails your message to Mar a Lago.

Where do the donations go?

You can choose among 3 organizations: Kamala Harris for President, the DNC (Democratic National Committee), and Progressive Turnout Project.

How is Trump Donald Funded?

We fund Trump Donald out of our own pockets. If Trump Donald becomes very popular, we may be unable to keep funding it ourselves, and so then we plan to form a PAC and accept donations directly, so that a small percentage of those donations can be used to cover our costs.

Are donations Refundable?

No: we can't refund your donation. We'll do our best to give you a refund if you donated by mistake or chose the wrong amount, but we'll evaluate requests on a case by case basis. See our Terms of Use for more detailed information.

Do you charge any fees?

No, we charge zero fees! The donation platform we use (ActBlue) passes on a 3.95% processing fee to the Harris campaign.

Is this a subscription?

No, it's not a subscription. You make a one-time donation. (But you can make a donation multiple times if you like.)

Is my donation tax deductible?

No, your donation is not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. That's the rule for political contributions.

Who can donate?

Only U.S. citizens and permanent residents (Green Card holders) can donate, not foreign nationals. This is in accordance with federal law.

Is my Donation secure?

Yes. Only the donation platform we use (ActBlue) processes your payment information.

Is this Bad for the Environment?

If you're concerned that mailing a letter to Mar a Lago is a waste of paper and bad for the environment, consider this: Donald Trump being elected would be far worse for the environment. And therefore, if mailing funny letters helps get more people to donate to defeat Trump, then it's worth it!
