FAQ 12

What is Easycart?
Easycart is a platform designed to boost online sales by simplifying payments, increasing conversion rates, and enhancing the customer experience with one-click checkout. It's part of Easytools, a suite of tools for creators to manage their businesses, offering features like checkout recovery, customer portals, promotions, digital downloads, and integrations with various platforms.
How to use Easycart?
Easycart integrates with Stripe to provide a streamlined checkout experience. Users can create product pages, configure payment options, and utilize features like one-click payments, upsells, and checkout recovery. It also offers tools for managing billing, taxes, and customer communication.
Are you a Merchant of Record?
In most cases, no. Handling taxes is your responsibility. This approach means much higher revenue, as Merchants of Record (MoRs) will collect all applicable taxes, not just the ones you’d need to pay, resulting in up to 20% hidden fees. Additionally, our model leads to lower churn, allows you to build the value of your business if you plan to sell it in the future, and doesn’t lock you in. All customers are yours on your Stripe account. We also make compliance straightforward, allowing you to manage thresholds and countries you sell to, so you can avoid most taxes up to millions in revenue, and download readymade tax reports.
What payment methods do you support?
We’re all about flexibility, so we accept all modern payment methods. This includes quick transfers, card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, as well as installment and deferred payment options. We're currently implementing PayPal and local payment methods popular in various countries, for even better conversions.
Who issues invoices to customers?
If you opt for our billing service, we’ll issue invoices for you, complete with your company details. Along with issuing invoices, we handle customer service in this area, including adjustments, data changes, and refunds. You can also integrate with an invoice service, or you can issue invoices directly through Stripe.
Do I need my own Stripe account?
Yes, you’ll need your own Stripe account. Think of Easycart as a user-friendly “overlay” for Stripe, allowing you to comfortably sell and offer a range of additional functions.
How many products can I sell?
The sky’s the limit! You’re free to sell as many products and subscriptions as you like.
Is Easycart safe?
At Easycart, we take security seriously. We don’t handle any sensitive customer transaction data, such as card details. All of this is managed directly by Stripe, advanced payment infrastructure compliant with PSD2 (SCA), PCI DSS Level 1, SSAE18/SOC 1 i 2.
Do I have access to my customers?
All your customers are on your Stripe account, meaning you can easily switch providers or create your own integration, even if you decide to stop using Easycart. Unlike other solutions, we don't lock you in and keep all of your customers, transactions and subscriptions safe on your Stripe account!
Can I cancel at any time?
Of course. Joining Easytools doesn’t tie you down. All your settings, products, customers, and subscriptions are on your Stripe account, meaning you can switch to any other solution, or even create your own, without losing a single customer or subscription.
How will I be charged for selling my products?
The commission fees will be taken directly from your Stripe balance as transactions occur. At the end of the month, we’ll send you a single invoice summarizing the charges.
How is the commission calculated?
Easycart’s commission is determined by your chosen Easytools plan. Select a free plan with a 5% commission, or go for a paid plan to cut the commission rate to as low as 1% and access all our creators' tools. For more details, visit our pricing page.
