FAQ 9

What is Deploud?
Deploud is a platform that generates verified deployment scripts for Cloud Run, AWS Lambda, and Azure Functions. It automates cloud deployments with one command, creating infrastructure code with Pulumi, setting up service accounts with minimal permissions, and ensuring idempotent, reliable deployments without wrapper services. It aims to save engineering time and eliminate struggles with fragmented documentation and obtuse errors.
How to use Deploud?
Users configure their deployment scripts on the Deploud platform. Deploud generates a .zip file containing the necessary scripts (cli, pulumi, scripts, gen.bash, del.bash, config.json). Users unzip the files into their project, customize the config.json if needed, and run 'bash gen.bash' to install CLI tools and configure permissions. Then, they navigate to the Pulumi folder and run 'pulumi up' to deploy their application.
How is Deploud different from other services?
Deploud doesn't abstract your services from the Cloud Provider like Vercel or Fly. It leverages popular tools like Pulumi to create and verify your infrastructure code. Deploud also bootstraps and configures everything before running the infrastructure code.
How is this different from me using IaaC tools like Pulumi and Terraform?
Deploud generates verified Pulumi code for you. You can still use the same IaC tools without spending hours creating the code yourself.
Wouldn't AI make this worthless?
Certain challenges prevent AI from taking over: You must be very specific in your configuration requests. LLMs often ignore your existing infrastructure. Scripts may look correct, but they can fail due to overlooked deep configurations. Deploud's mission is one-command deploys, bundling everything from CLIs to service names. AI will likely be used to improve upon this mission.
How does pricing work?
You buy a Deploud Project. You're able to change and edit as many times as you want.
Is it a one time fee?
Yes. No subscriptions. Once you generate your code with Deploud, your code is yours to keep. You don't resell it, but you can modify and extend it as needed.
What cloud providers do you support?
Google Cloud. We're working on supporting AWS, and Azure.
Do you have a refund policy?
Yes. We have 30 days refund policy.
